Oregon: The Reinventing Healthcare Question
{Cohort Oregon} April 2024 CT-OR-106 - APR
An online group, The PX Community, recently hosted a virtual gathering to harness and validate a never before assembled registrant-driven group to tackle the topic of restructure or a retool of the health and medical care access and delivery system at large (“healthcare is broken and needs more than a band-aid repair, it needs reinvention”). A call to action followed, an ask to consider enjoining further discussion via an auxiliary and newly formed group, the Healthcare Reinvention Collaborative.
Oregon is the 33rd state admitted to the United States (1859) and today approximately 4,233,358 people call Oregon their home (U.S. Census Bureau, 2023 estimate).
In an attempt to contribute to their larger conversation, this local Cohort assembles interested Oregonians to take a look at the Healthcare Reinvention Collaborative, what is it, who’s behind it, what is the purpose or intent, what outcomes the organizers propose or desire, and how Oregonians with acquired interest might engage.
